Enforcement Rules is a feature that allows Zeal to automatically identify and enforce against clear infringements based on criteria you define. This first release focuses on Posts, with more automation on the way.
Enforcement Rules are configurable conditions that tell Zeal:
“When you find a post that meets these criteria, automatically send a takedown notice.”
They work similarly to Auto-Moderation Rules, but instead of automatically labelling posts, they initiate enforcement.
When a post matches one of your rules:
Zeal marks it as Enforce / Eligible for Takedown
The post immediately appears in Notice View
Zeal automatically sends the takedown notice to the recipient (marketplaces, social media platforms and domains)
No human review is needed—as long as your rule criteria are met
This is ideal for high-confidence infringements, such as:
Posts labeled “Counterfeit”
Sellers repeatedly identified as high risk
Posts with known infringing logos or risky keywords
Note: In this first iteration, Auto-Takedown Rules apply to Posts only.
Rules can be built using any combination of the following parameters:
Image SignalsLogo detected
Image labels (e.g., “counterfeit,” “official photo,” “unauthorized use” or others)
Post InformationPost description & title (keywords, phrases, risky language)
Obfuscated brand name indicators
Moderation status (Moderated / Checked / Validated)
Post label (e.g., “Counterfeit,” “Copyright Infringement,” “Trademark Abuse”, others)
Price
Stock count
Post tags
Account SignalsAccount is Checked or Validated
Account label (e.g., “Repeat Offender”)
Follower count thresholds
These data points can be combined to target very specific infringement scenarios.
Go to Settings → Enforcement Rules
Click the plus icon to add a new rules
Choose the outcome → Enforce
Note: The only outcome available now is Enforce, so it will be pre-selected and greyed out.
Choose your conditions (e.g., “Post Label = Counterfeit”)
Add additional conditions (logo detected, post is validated, account signals, etc.)
Click Add to save the rule.
Once enabled, the rule begins applying to all incoming and existing content that meets your conditions.
If:
Post Label = “Counterfeit”
AND Post is Checked → True
AND Logo Detected → True
Then the ourcome is:
→ Automatically Enforce / Send Takedown Notice
